How to Receive a Massage

Tell the therapist about areas of your body that are injured, sore or tense.
Mention any medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart problems, headaches or recent surgery.
If you have any type of infectious disease such as cold or flu or a skin rash, it is important to mention this to your technician. A massage could increase certain health risks and discomforts brought on by these ailments.
During the session, close your eyes and allow yourself to relax to the soothing music. Focus your attention on breathing slowly and deeply.
Allow your technician to move your limbs into position. Relax your arms, legs and head unless the therapist requests your assistance.
