• Tell the therapist about areas of your body that are injured, sore or tense.
• Mention any medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart problems, headaches or recent surgery.
• If you have any type of infectious disease such as cold or flu or a skin rash, it is important to mention this to your technician. A massage could increase certain health risks and discomforts brought on by these ailments.
• During the session, close your eyes and allow yourself to relax to the soothing music. Focus your attention on breathing slowly and deeply.
• Allow your technician to move your limbs into position. Relax your arms, legs and head unless the therapist requests your assistance.
